The Lurgan based Matrex Mats & Matting
has been responsible for supplying and installing brand leading
entrance flooring systems and flooring products in some of the most
prestigious buildings in the Province for more than two decades now. As
the company approaches its 25th year in business, Matrex Mats &
Matting continues to lead the way!
The need for entrance
flooring and dirt control is not new. It's a requirement that has been
around for centuries but with more rigorous Health and Safety
legislation to adhere to and increased regulations, such as the
Disability Discrimination Act, the specification of entrance flooring
has become a very important part of both the design and building

the years Matrex has had its matting systems specified in numerous
prestigious buildings throughout Northern Ireland - everywhere from
Belfast City Hall and Belfast City Airport, now known as the George
Best Airport, to the Waterfront Hall and the Odyssey complex, Northern
Ireland's Millennium project.
And it's not just public buildings that benefit from the company's
expertise. Banks, Building Societies, Schools, retail outlets and
shopping centres have all benefited from the company's high
performance flooring solutions.
Recent commissions have included the supply of a Tuftiguard entrance
matting system at the Erne Shopping Centre in Enniskillen and logo
matting within the Bloomfield Shopping Centre in Bangor. |
As
well as shopping centre, the company has met the entrance of high
street retailers such as Marks & Spencers, JJB Sports and New Look.
The Education sector has also been a big providerfor the company over
the years. Contracts recently completed include the provision of
matting systemsat Ballyhome Primary Scoool in Bangor and the Belfast
campus of the University of Ulster at York Street. |

recently completed contracts include entrance matting at the recently
refurbished Students Union at Queen's University in Belfast and various
matting and flooring solutions at Queen's Elms, the nearby Halls of
Residence and associated facilities linked to the University.
As well as being functional, architects, clients and builders alike
expect entrance matting to look well and this is something that has
also been taken on board by both Matrex and the companies they
represent.
As the main distributor for Bonar Floors in the Province, products in
the Coral and Nuway ranges feature prominently on Matrex specification
schedules. |
